SARBAR™ G2 is a second-generation, hand-held, X-band, real time, real aperture imaging radar system capable of generating high-resolution, two-dimensional, spotlight radar images at a rate of 10 images per second. It is typically used to identify surface features that standout on structures that should have a small radar cross-section. It is effective in dealing with surfaces that are readily accessible, but its low weight and small package size makes it equally effective in assessing difficult to reach surfaces that may be important for the complete radar signature.of the structure. SARBAR™ G2 generally collects data in a surface element related reference frame, but an option is being developed to locate the data in a global reference frame so that large surface areas can be readily mapped.
